Our Quality Standard
At Varalion, quality is not a marketing claim — it is a documented, verifiable process. Every compound we supply undergoes independent analytical testing before it is made available to researchers. We believe that the integrity of your research begins with the integrity of your materials.
Our Purity Standard
Every Varalion peptide is verified at ≥98% purity by reverse-phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) before dispatch. HPLC is the gold standard analytical method for peptide purity verification, providing precise quantification of the target compound and detection of any impurities or by-products from the synthesis process.
We do not release any batch that fails to meet our minimum purity threshold. If a batch does not pass, it does not ship.
Our Testing Process
HPLC Purity Analysis: Reverse-phase HPLC is performed on every batch using UV detection at 220nm. This method separates the target peptide from any synthesis impurities, degradation products, or contaminants, and provides a precise purity percentage. All Varalion compounds are verified at ≥98% purity by this method.
Mass Spectrometry Identity Confirmation: In addition to purity testing, every batch undergoes mass spectrometry analysis to confirm the molecular identity of the compound. This verifies that the peptide matches its stated amino acid sequence and molecular weight — confirming you are receiving exactly what you ordered.
Endotoxin Testing: All compounds are tested for bacterial endotoxins using the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) test. Endotoxin levels are verified below 0.1 EU/mg. This is critical for research integrity — endotoxin contamination can independently trigger inflammatory responses in biological models, confounding experimental results.
Certificates of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is available for every batch of every compound we supply. Each CoA includes:
- HPLC chromatogram and purity result
- Mass spectrometry data confirming molecular identity
- Endotoxin test result
- Batch number and manufacture date
- Storage recommendations
Each batch is independently verified. Certificate of Analysis documentation will be available via QR code on every vial at dispatch.
Why Purity Matters in Research
In preclinical research, the quality of your compounds directly affects the validity of your results. Impure peptides introduce variables that are impossible to control for — synthesis by-products may have their own biological activity, contaminants can trigger off-target responses, and endotoxins can confound inflammation studies entirely.
Researchers working with substandard materials risk drawing conclusions that reflect contamination rather than the compound’s true biological behaviour. At Varalion we take this seriously, because we understand that reproducible, trustworthy science depends on verified, consistent materials.
Storage & Stability
All Varalion peptides are supplied in lyophilised (freeze-dried) form, which significantly extends stability compared to liquid formulations. Lyophilised peptides are stable at room temperature for short-term storage and remain stable for up to 36 months when stored at −20°C.
Once reconstituted, peptides should be stored at 4°C and used within 14–28 days. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided, and compounds should be protected from direct light during storage.
Full storage and reconstitution guidance is provided on each product page.
Our Commitment
We are committed to full transparency at every stage — from synthesis to delivery. Each batch is independently verified. Certificate of Analysis documentation is accessible via QR code on every vial.
